Accountancy services provider Danbro has joined forces with Global Recruiter magazine to launch a major new national survey that will canvas the opinions of thousands of agencies to create a definitive snapshot of the state of the recruitment sector.
The State of the Market survey looks at the challenges recruiters face, emerging trends and, critically, aims to predict what the future holds for this sector.
The survey comes after a turbulent period that has seen the recruitment sector hit with a swathe of new legislation from HMRC, including changes to travel and subsistence and the ongoing review of the intermediaries legislation.
The Brexit vote has also been seen as both an opportunity and a threat to the industry and Danbro and Global Recruiter, which both sit at the heart of the recruitment sector, are aiming to get a comprehensive overview of the mood among recruiters.
Every recruiter is being urged to take part in the survey to help create a valuable resource to help clarify the key issues and identify what opportunities lay ahead.
Executive Chairman of Danbro, Damian Broughton, says “The recruitment industry plays a pivotal role in supporting the UK economy. Now, more than ever, our industries rely on accessing the skills they need through agencies on a permanent or temporary basis.
“However, this industry has been heavily targeted by HMRC and the chaos following the Brexit vote is causing further uncertainty.
“We work hard to lobby Government and influence opinion on the issues that affect recruiters and contractors alike. This survey will deliver a definitive guide to the state of the recruitment market.
“It will be a hugely valuable tool for recruitment agencies and will help to show the trends and opportunities that lie ahead. Crucially, it will also highlight the challenges and what must be done to help agencies overcome them.”
The findings of the survey will be published in the September issue of Global Recruiter and those who take part can also request a personal copy of the results when it is concluded at the end of August.
The results will be debated at a major event in London when some of the country’s leading recruitment figures come together to discuss the future of the sector, which will also feature in Global Recruiter.
The survey takes just two minutes to complete and by taking part you can help understand and shape the future of the recruitment sector.
