We are delighted to announce the official launch of the Danbro Foundation, coinciding with our 20th year in business. The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, devoted to improving the lives and prospects of those who need it most, providing them with optimism, opportunities and, ultimately, hope for the future.
The Danbro Foundation aims to ‘share the company’s success, committing both our time and financial resource to provide opportunity and support to those who need it’.
The Foundation’s Executive Committee comprises employees from right across the Danbro Group. The committee will be giving up their personal time to make the key decisions regarding funding, marketing and charitable efforts. Working alongside local groups, such as Street Angels and Aspired Futures, and international charities like Operation Orphan, the Danbro Foundation formalises the way in which the company gives back. It enables the people who help generate our profits to have a bigger say in how money is being spent.
IT Manager, Terry Glenister, who joined the company in 2011, is one of the Foundation’s committee members. Discussing his excitement about the Foundation’s launch, Terry is confident the organisation can ‘genuinely improve the lives of other people.’
“Danbro has afforded me many opportunities to develop, both personally and professionally. So, when the chance arose to be part of the Danbro Foundation, I applied without hesitation,” he said. “As a member of the Foundation, I’m part of a team that can genuinely help better the lives of other people.”
“We could be helping local charities fund day trips, or funding missions across the globe to help people affected by hurricanes or wars. And, knowing the history of the company and the people who started the Foundation, I’m even more excited.”
Danbro: On Film
The culture here at Danbro is about more than just profit margins and lead generation. The Foundation is a prime example of how we use our profits to effect positive change on the local and wider community. For two years, the committee has worked diligently to reach this point. So, it’s fitting that the Foundation’s launch should coincide with our 20th anniversary year.
To mark that milestone, we’ll be releasing a series of specially commissioned videos throughout the month of February. The videos detail encompass our company’s history, and share our vision and aspirations for the future.
The films include Danbro’s Founders – Helen and Damian Broughton – in conversation with one another about Danbro’s journey. The pair discuss the company’s formation, their objectives for the future, and what they love most about their business. We will also be releasing interviews with Directors and Associate Partners from the departments of Accountancy and Umbrella Employment, respectively. Testimonials from our partners at EweMove and MyMobileWorkers will also be available to view on our website and social channels.
Here at Danbro, we place a strong emphasis on family. Our culture is underpinned by values that are inherent in each and every one of our employees. Therefore, an important part of our video campaign are the short films we have from employees throughout the Danbro Group. Each detailing what it is that they love about being part of the Danbro Family.
