Blackpool based specialist contractor accountants
and business advisors, Danbro, have this week launched their
very first podcast.
Offering an insightful slide show and narrative
on current market trends, the podcast will provide useful
information to contractors around the UK.
Damian Broughton, partner at Danbro comments: "The
common perception that iPods and podcasting are just for
teenagers and music fans, is a misleading myth. Podcasting
is increasingly moving into mainstream, as more and more
people are opting to use their digital music players for
more than just listening to music. The medium presents a
completely new and exciting way to communicate and offers
a of magnitude possibilities for commercial businesses."
Having only been established for two years,
podcasting has already created quite a buzz amongst the professional
sector. Likened to radio on demand, podcasting is online
audio content that can be sent automatically to digital music
players. The predominant advantage of the growing medium
is that the listener is in control of the podcast, determining
when and where they listen to it, thus being able to multi-task
whilst still receiving the information that they want.
Efficient, convenient and easy to use, the
medium has been a big hit with individuals and organisations
alike. The latter often choosing to distribute audio and
sometimes visual as an addition to their existing text or
web-based promotional products.
Damian continues, "As a firm we feel
that it is extremely important to keep on top of technological
advancements in order to ensure that we can offer the best
service possible to our clients. Being involved in the contractors
industry, the majority of our clients are always on the move,
switching from one project to another, therefore a quick
and easy podcast will prove a lot more practical than a text
or web-based item.
"We believe that our podcast feed will
work to improve customer satisfaction, enabling the practice
to continue to stand out from our competitors, in this increasingly
competitive field. "
