DANBRO - ONE OF ONLY A FEW
TO BE GIVEN 100% COMPLIANCE STATUS BY HMR&C
|
It is no secret that HMR&C have actively begun to crack
down on umbrella companies who are viewed to be abusing their
dispensations.
We understand that HMR&C do not have an ambition to
close every provider within the industry. Where they perceive
a provider to be acting in a compliant manner, HMR&C
have a willingness to work with that business to ensure it
is maintained.
Danbro, an award winning accountancy practice are delighted
to be one of only a select few to be given 100% compliancy
status following a recent visit from HMR&C.
A spokesperson for Danbro explained “We have always
recognised the importance of maintaining our compliant ethos,
even through times where other non-compliant providers were
wowing many contractors with their ‘too good to be
true’ offerings, we remained fully committed to adhering
to HMR&C legislation and dispensation agreements”
Not only is it important for contractor’s to ensure
they use a fully compliant umbrella company like Danbro,
but it’s equally important for recruitment agencies
too.
HMR&C have made their intentions clear - those contractors
that abuse expense policies face additional tax liabilities,
penalties of up to 100% of the amount owed, plus interest.
As already stated, it is equally important for recruitment
agencies to ensure that any umbrella provider that they recommend,
whether officially or informally, is totally compliant. If
they recommend their candidates to use the services of a
non -compliant umbrella company, they could face action from
those
Danbro have put robust measures in place - from educating
the newest of contractors on the importance of making legitimate
claims, to developing presentations on the value a
of selecting a complaint provider. Danbro remain committed
to total compliancy. This has now been confirmed by HMR&C
giving Danbro the thumbs up.
